Eligibility for direct admission: direct admission is only applicable to the candidates graduating in 2025 and meets at least one (01) of the following conditions within the last three years:
– Candidates win prizes in examinations of selecting national, provincial gifted students (or equivalent): first, second, third prizes or encouragement in natural-science subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics and Geography;
– Candidates win first, second, or third prizes (projects related to natural sciences) in national, regional, and international science and engineering contests (approved by Admission Committee);
– Candidates participate in the international Olympic team selection exam; candidates are official members of the national team participating in the international contest on subjects of natural sciences, international science and engineering contest teams (projects related to natural sciences).
Direct admission for the Aeronautical Engineering program is only applied to students with prizes in Mathematics, Physics and Informatics. Direct admission for the Pharmacy program is only applied to students with prizes in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology. Geography is only applied for candidates of Space science and Satellite Technology specialty.
Foreign applicants must demonstrate proficiency in the use of the English language (IELTS score of 5.0 or higher, or other equivalent certificates) to ensure successful academic engagement at USTH. For the Pharmacy program, in addition to English proficiency, applicants are required to attain the necessary results in the proficiency test of the Vietnamese language, in accordance with the current regulations established by the MOET.
Remarks: Eligibility for direct admission only applicable to the candidates graduating in 2023 and NOT to the candidate who applies for the double degree program.
