Admission method based on USTH Competency assessment examination results

1. Admission criteria:

– Candidates must have their GPA (Grade point average)⁽¹⁾ of 5 subjects: Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Informatics in grade 11 and the 1^st semester of grade 12 (for wave 1, 2), grade 11 and grade 12 (for wave 3)  greater than or equal to 6.50/10 and less than 8.80/10.

– Candidates for Pharmacy⁽²⁾ program must have at least 7.00/10 for the GPA of the subjects mentioned above, and an IELTS certificate with a minimum score of 5.0 or a TOEFL iBT certificate with a minimum score of 35.

– Candidates for double degree⁽³⁾ programs must not only meet the GPA requirement but also have an IELTS certificate with a minimum score of 6.0 or a TOEFL iBT certificate with a minimum score of 60.

2. Process:

– Candidates submit their application online at www.apply.usth.edu.vn.

–  Take the knowledge test⁽⁴⁾ or convert results of the high school graduation exam (for wave 3).

– Online interview⁽⁵⁾ with the USTH admissions jury.

Remarks:

(1) Grade point average of 5 subjects will be calculated as follows:

Average[Ma11+Phy11+Chem11+ Bio11+Ict11 + Ma12+Phy12+Chem12+ Bio12+Ict12]:10

(2) Candidates applying for the Pharmacy program must be classified as excellent or higher for the academic performance of grade 12 to fulfill the requirements of quality assurance threshold for the health sector in the graduated year stipulated by the MOET.

(3)  The double degree programs use only the USTH Competency Assessment examination results for admission (AM1).
